Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related discipline; exceptional candidates may be considered without degree
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to organize tasks and manage projects
• Strong interpersonal skills; effective and professional communication
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Word

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of model makers in prototype creation and part fabrication for Norman engineering projects
• Maintain lab schedule to meet project timelines and adjust based on staffing/resources
• Identify safety, quality, and cost improvements and drive problem solving with teams
• Coach lab personnel in continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and improve efficiency
• Promote teamwork and communications across lab groups
• Supervise fabrication, prototype assembly, test sample prep, and inventory activities as needed
