Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a bartender to deliver efficient, friendly beverage service at the casino, creating a positive guest experience. You will greet guests by name, take orders, and coordinate with bartenders, while maintaining accuracy in money handling and promoting casino events.

The role requires 21+ with a high school diploma, strong English skills, and availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing personalized service and uses guest name.

• Providing fast, friendly, professional beverage service and handling full trays.
• Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening when needed.
• Taking drink orders, coordinating with bartenders, and presenting drinks.
• Serving complimentary beverages including coffee and water.
• Handling money according to procedure.
• Collaborating with beverage staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Providing personalized service and uses guest name
• Resolving service problems according to guidelines
• Serving as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos
• Promoting casino events and programs
• Providing fast (20 minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carries full trays on every round
• Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
• Taking drink orders, communicating with bartender, assisting in the preparation of drinks and presenting drinks to guests
• Providing service of complimentary beverages including coffee and water
• Handling money according to procedure
• Working well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
• Maintaining clean and stocked workstation

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
• Excellent customer service/communication skills
• Count money and change correctly
• Know or is able to learn tray service, cocktail ingredients
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
• Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
• Must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs. (full cocktail tray) for extended periods of time
• Able to tolerate noise and bright lights
• Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
