Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Systems Engineer with MBSE expertise to support DoD weapon systems acquisition. The role emphasizes model-based systems engineering, MBSE standards, and rigorous technical documentation across the full design lifecycle.

You will work with government stakeholders and contractor teammates to translate requirements into design, architecture, and verifications, while mentoring teams in a multi-vendor environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DoD weapon systems acquisition and SE&I experience.
• 5+ years performing systems engineering analysis and SE products for DoD/government.
• 5+ years MBSE for specifications, interfaces, system architecture.
• SysML and DoDAF knowledge; design reviews and requirements verification.
• Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
• Bachelor’s in STEM; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical risks and issues.
• Mentor or supervise employees in technical competencies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience performing systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products for DoD or government systems
• 5+ years of experience with practical MBSE for technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture
• Experience using Cameo or MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody
• Knowledge of SysML and DoDAF
• Ability to perform systems engineering and program management functions supporting design reviews and requirements verification
• Secret clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field
• Experience with MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter
• Experience analyzing and translating system requirements into design
• Experience with Radar
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical risks and issues
• Ability to develop technical reports
• Ability to collaborate with government and other stakeholders
• Ability to establish collaborative relationships with government clients in a multi-vendor environment
• TS/SCI clearance preferred
• Master's degree in Engineering preferred
