Job summary

Stellantis Financial Services is seeking an Engine Calibration Engineer to support development, validation, and improvement of calibration methods across ICE, xHEV, and BEV platforms. You will assist methodology development, data analysis, and documentation to boost repeatability, quality, efficiency, range, and emissions readiness.

The role involves coordinating with CoE, Controls, Emissions, and Validation teams, using MATLAB/Simulink, ETAS INCA, MDA, and dSPACE tools to build and validate

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or higher; early-career level.
  • Master's degree preferred for advanced calibration work.
  • Experience or familiarity with engine calibration and model-based methods.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink to support model-based analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support gasoline base calibration methodology (torque model, spark, knock, combustion, airflow, fuel, boost, VVT, EGR, idle, startability).
  • Support emissions, off-nominal, and transient calibration efforts.
  • Document inputs, assumptions, limitations, and validation evidence; assist building virtual models.
  • Correlate vehicle, dyno, HIL/SIL/MIL, and virtual datasets to identify gaps.
  • Use MATLAB, Simulink, ETAS INCA, MDA, dSPACE to support data analysis and methodology work.
  • Assist root-cause analysis, data summaries, and lessons-learned capture for calibration issues.
  • Assist validation/test planning and calibration maturity/readiness assessments.
  • Collaborate with CoE, Controls, Emissions, Validation, and calibration teams; document and improve methodologies.
