Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Product Definition Engineer to produce and check component definitions, including Model Based Definitions (MBDs), to meet design intent and ensure manufacturability.

You will create and manipulate 3D models, perform tolerance stacks, apply GD&T and ISO/ASME standards, and collaborate with design, manufacturing engineers and suppliers to deliver high-quality drawings and definitions that support the DD&I Automation Strategy and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1+ years of experience
• Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• US Citizenship is required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality 3D models and Model Based Definitions (MBDs) with GD&T and PMI
• Perform tolerance stacks and ensure component producibility
• Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers
• Contribute to DD&I Automation Strategy (Model Based Definition and High Value Digital Design)
• Promote continuous improvement of tools, processes, and guidance materials
