Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is expanding its Mobility Solutions underwriting team in Plano, TX, to drive profitable growth in sharing economy and new mobility accounts.

The LMMS Underwriting Manager will lead a team of underwriters, coordinate risk assessment, pricing and coverage decisions, and partner with brokers and cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions and strong performance in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Formal leadership experience in underwriting at a senior level.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate high-impact underwriting risks.
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external partners.
• Experience managing risk selection, coverage and pricing strategies for complex accounts.
• Ability to mentor and coach underwriting staff and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: manage retention, acquisition, and development of senior underwriters and foster innovation.
• Risk Selection: develop strategy to evaluate risk quality and refine underwriter skills for sharing economy and mobility risks.
• Agent/Broker Relationships: maintain high-level relationships with key agents and brokers.
• Portfolio Management: evaluate profitability, risk scenarios and industry trends; guide team execution.
• Quality Audit and Account Review: ensure files meet regulatory and internal standards; coach on decision-making.
