Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in business, finance, risk management, or equivalent typically required.
• A minimum of 7 years expected, typically 10 years or more, of progressive underwriting experience.
• CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred
• Proven analytical ability to evaluate underwriting risks.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analyses to others in the organization for underwriting or training purposes
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Must demonstrate comprehension of complex underwriting issues and implement necessary processes/workflows
• Proven track record of developing and underwriting profitable business

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial auto, workers' compensation and general liability and collaborate with other segments for cross-sell opportunities.
• Be responsible for curating a profitable, diversified book of business through collaboration and informed decisions.
• Develop creative insights and apply sophisticated capabilities as the mobility market evolves.
• Underwriting emerging mobility risks requires curiosity and innovation to anticipate market changes.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
