Job summary

Liberty Mutual Mobility Solutions is seeking an LMMS Underwriting Manager to lead a team of underwriters focused on renewing and pursuing profitable, high-quality sharing economy and new mobility risks. You will guide risk assessment, pricing analysis, and broker collaboration in a dynamic, cross-functional setting.

You will develop expertise to selectively accept coverage, mentor staff, and drive strategic portfolio outcomes while aligning with regulatory standards and company objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
• 10+ years progressive underwriting experience with at least 2 years in underwriting management, preferred.
• CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate high impact underwriting risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: retain, acquire, and develop senior underwriting talent; mentor underwriters.
• Risk Selection: develop strategies to evaluate risk quality and underwriter skill.
• Agent/Broker Relationships: manage relationships with key agents and brokers.
• Portfolio Management: assess profitability, risk trends, and capital allocation.
• Quality Audit and Account Review: ensure files meet regulatory and documentation standards.
