Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking Mobility Technicians to perform routine patient mobilization tasks under on-site supervision by a nurse or therapist. This role emphasizes supportive care and coordination within the unit, with documentation in the EMR and adherence to care plans.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily mobilization activities, ensuring patient safety, and performing other duties as assigned by the supervising team.

Qualifications

• Active Florida licensure as CNA, EMT, or Paramedic, or equivalent military medical specialty.
• Valid Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.

Required Qualifications

• Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of an SMH approved program, and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.

HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
