Job summary

BMW Group North America is offering a Spring 2027 – Summer 2027 Intern position in Mountain View, CA. This full-time internship supports R&D scouting across Mobility, Consumer Electronics, and Autonomous Vehicles, with a strong emphasis on venture capital and startup activity in the U.S.

You will analyze trends, support innovation projects, and help network with ecosystem partners while working in a hybrid office environment in Mountain View.

Qualifications

• US Work Authorization required.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 (overall).
• Completed at least 60 college credits at application time.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Submit unofficial college transcript with application.
• Prior BMW Group experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scout and analyze emerging trends, technologies, and materials in Mobility, Electronics, and related fields.
• Track activities and provide executive summaries focused on VC and startups in the U.S.
• Identify trends in startups, corporations, and universities in focus areas.
• Support project management of innovation projects and track engagement activity.
• Support networking initiatives with venture capital, accelerators, universities, and startups.
