Job summary

BMW Group invites applications for an Intern, Scouting and Academia – Spring 2027 in Mountain View, CA. You will analyze mobility tech trends, track VC activity, and identify university collaborations.

The role requires full-time availability during the spring term and active ongoing engagement with innovation projects. The internship offers hybrid work in Mountain View, with compensation details aligned to undergraduate and graduate levels and a focus on practical exposure to BMW Group R&D

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
• US Work Authorization required.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Completed at least 60 college credit hours.
• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
• Must submit an unofficial transcript with application.

Responsibilities

• Scout and analyze emerging trends, technologies, and materials in Mobility, Consumer Electronics, Digital Ecosystems, Autonomous Vehicles, Sustainability.
• Track activities and report executive summaries focusing on VC and startup activity in the U.S.
• Identify trends in startups, corporations, and universities in focus areas.
• Support project management of innovation projects and engagement activity.
• Support networking with venture capital, accelerators, universities, and startups.
