Job summary

Hertz-1 is seeking a Mobility HR Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations at the Newark site. You will manage data entry, HRIS maintenance, employee files, and audit-ready records under the Mobility HR Manager.

You will also assist with market compliance, candidate communications, and coordination of recruiting events, while contributing to a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years in Human Resources, administrative support, or a customer-facing coordination role.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent HR/administrative experience.
  • aPHR/PHR certification a plus.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Oracle HCM, Workday) and applicant tracking systems (Fountain or similar).
  • General employment practices knowledge; willingness to learn federal, state, local requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to the Mobility HR Manager and market operations team.
  • Own and manage market-specific compliance program administration.
  • Coordinate regulatory workflows, timelines, docs, and vendor coordination.
  • Assist with recruiting activities at job fairs, events, and pop-ups.
  • Support full TA lifecycle: interviews, candidate comms, offers, onboarding.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding with Mobility Training Coordinator.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain local trackers, dashboards, and reports for market health and compliance.
  • Support employee engagement, communications, and workplace notices.
  • Complete other admin duties as assigned by Mobility HR Manager.

Job description

A Day in the Life:

The Mobility HR Coordinator (HRC) is the administrative backbone of the HR team, ensuring the day-to-day HR operations of an Oro Mobility site run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Mobility HR Manager, the HRC creates a positive employee experience by providing timely, accurate, and responsive support across a broad set of HR administrative activities, market-specific compliance programs, and talent acquisition coordination. The HRC is often a candidate's and new hire's first HR touchpoint, and plays a critical role in building trust, consistency, and confidence in the HR function. This role is based out of Newark, NJ.


The salary range for this position is $24-28/hr.


What You\'ll Do:


  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to the Mobility HR Manager and the market operations team, including data entry, HRIS maintenance, employee file management, and audit-ready recordkeeping.

  • Own and execute market-specific compliance program administration required to operate in each jurisdiction.

  • Serve as the market\'s process owner for jurisdiction-specific regulatory workflows, ensuring timelines, documentation, employee communications, and vendor coordination are executed accurately and on time.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Operations leadership to support recruiting activities, including attending and staffing job fairs, community hiring events, and pop-up hiring events as needed.

  • Support the full TA lifecycle at the market level, including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, preparing offer materials, and helping ensure a seamless candidate experience.

  • Assist with new hire administrative onboarding activities in partnership with the Mobility Training Coordinator, ensuring documentation, systems access, and required forms are completed.

  • Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits basics, timekeeping, and general HR processes, escalating complex issues to the Mobility HR Manager as appropriate.

  • Maintain and update local trackers, dashboards, and reports used by the HR Manager to monitor market health, compliance status, and workforce metrics.

  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and communication activities in the market, including coordinating events, distributing materials, and posting required workplace notices.

  • Complete other administrative duties as assigned by the Mobility HR Manager to support the market\'s evolving needs.


What We\'re Looking For:


  • 1-3 years\' experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or a customer-facing coordination role.

  • Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s Degree preferred, or equivalent HR/administrative experience.

  • aPHR/PHR certification a plus.

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Oracle HCM, Workday, or similar) and applicant tracking systems (Fountain or similar).

  • Working knowledge of general employment practices and interest in learning federal, state, and local employment requirements.

  • Strong organization, time management, prioritization, and follow-through skills; ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams with attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and comfort interacting with candidates, employees, and leaders in-person and virtually.

  • Flexible and adaptable; ability to work effectively in ambiguous, high-growth startup environments.

  • Ability to travel locally within the market for job fairs, site visits, and hiring events; some evening/weekend availability for events.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
