Vision To Learn is a nonprofit providing vision care to K–12 students through mobile clinics. The Optician will conduct screenings, assist with frame selections, and dispense glasses during school visits with travel to Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

The Los Angeles area-based role is full-time with travel, typically during school hours, and requires adherence to health and safety protocols. A California optician credential is preferred but not required.

Qualificações

• Optician diploma; California COA/COT/NCLE/ABO preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license with clean record; some travel to Santa Barbara and Ventura counties
• Experience with children and diverse backgrounds
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; quick learner of EHR reporting and project management systems

Responsabilidades

• Oversee assigned mobile eye clinic operation
• Take measurements, fit and adjust frames per prescriptions
• Assist patients with frame selections for optimal fit
• Complete and prepare daily reports and meet deadlines
• Make follow-up calls to patient caregivers for feedback
• Conduct vision screenings using Welch Allyn Spot Check Vision Screener
• Dispense glasses to student patients when ABO certified
• Study and follow Vision To Learn health and safety protocols
• Maintain clinic setup, inventory, and paperwork for efficient workflow
