Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare is seeking veterinarians to provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care across Pittsburgh metro and surrounding PA communities. This family-owned practice values professional judgment, independence, and a supportive team that prioritizes work-life balance.

We offer flexible 2–5 day schedules with full- and part-time opportunities, including 4-day base salary starting at $110,000 and 5-day positions at $135,000, plus quarterly

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license.
• A compassionate heart and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
• Availability consistent with the position’s schedule, including some weekends.
• Hospice experience is not required. We’ll support you as you transition into this meaningful field of veterinary medicine.

Our compensation structure is designed to reward your dedication while providing financial stability, with 4-Day positions starting at $110,000 annually and 5-Day positions offering a $135,000 annual base salary, plus additional Quarterly Performance-Based Bonus Opportunities.

Our Two, Three-Day and Self-Managed Flex Scheduling Opportunities Available with Pro-Rated Compensation adjusted based on the agreed-upon schedule.
