Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking veterinarians to provide in-home hospice and humane euthanasia care across Toledo, Bowling Green, Adrian, Monroe & Bedford, Michigan, and surrounding areas. Join a family-owned practice that values independence and compassionate medicine.

We offer flexible scheduling options with 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-day opportunities. Base salary starts at $90,000 for 4-day weeks or $105,000 for 5-day weeks, plus quarterly bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
• Valid driver's license.
• A compassionate heart and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
• Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.
• Hospice experience is not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care to patients.
• Coordinate with families to support end-of-life care.
• Maintain professional independence while delivering compassionate service.

Our compensation structure is designed to reward your dedication while providing financial stability, with 4-Day positions starting at $90,000 annually and 5-day positions offering a $105,000 annual base salary, plus additional Quarterly Performance-Based Bonus Opportunities.

Our Two, Three-Day and Self-Managed Flex Scheduling Opportunities Available with Pro-Rated Compensation adjusted based on the agreed-upon schedule.
