Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare in Melbourne and surrounding Florida communities is seeking veterinarians for in-home hospice and compassionate euthanasia care. We offer flexible schedules, family-owned independence, and a supportive team that respects your clinical judgment.

You will work with families to provide meaningful end-of-life care, while maintaining professional autonomy and a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Must have a DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Compassionate heart and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
• Availability including some weekends.
• Hospice experience is not required; support during transition into hospice field.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and peaceful euthanasia care for patients.
• Coordinate with families to ensure compassionate, respectful care.
• Support independence while coordinating with a dedicated team for appointments and aftercare.

Veterinarian Compensation & Schedule Opportunities

We offer 2-Day, 3-Day, 4-Day, and 5-Day employment opportunities throughout Melbourne & Titusville, Florida and surrounding communities. Our compensation structure is designed to reward your dedication while providing financial stability, with 4-Day positions starting at $90,000 annually and 5-day positions offering a $105,000 annual base salary, plus additional Quarterly Performance-Based Bonus Opportunities. Our Two, Three-Day and Self-Managed Flex Scheduling Opportunities Available with Pro-Rated Compensation adjusted based on the agreed-upon schedule.
