Job summary

Lap of Love is recruiting a Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian to serve the Chicago West region, including Hanover Park, DeKalb, Geneva, and surrounding areas. You’ll deliver compassionate hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes, maintaining autonomy while receiving ongoing mentorship and support.

The role emphasizes flexible 2–5 day-per-week scheduling, balanced with meaningful patient interactions and a strong company culture. A base salary is guaranteed with bonus opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) required and valid license to practice.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to drive to client locations.
• Availability to work some weekends as part of the schedule.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance when needed.
• Background and motor vehicle record checks may be required post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Serve as a mobile veterinarian visiting client homes and nearby communities.
• Practice independently while staying connected with a mentorship and support network.
