Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Illinois veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile setting.
• Compassionate, relationship-focused approach to veterinary medicine.
• Collaborative mindset and interest in growing a mobile service.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect samples, interpreting results.
• Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable laws.
