Job summary

BlueSky At-Home Veterinary Care in San Diego is seeking an experienced Relief Veterinary Technician for per diem shifts. You will drive the mobile veterinary vehicle to client homes, assist the veterinarian with patient handling, diagnostics, and treatment, and maintain accurate medical records.

The ideal candidate is licensed (LVT/RVT/CVT) or an experienced veterinary assistant with 5+ years of clinical work, holds a valid driver's license, and commits to Fear Free techniques and

Qualifications

Licensed Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant with strong clinical skills.
5+ years of experience.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Excellent communication skills and a client-centered approach.
Commitment to Fear Free techniques and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

Safely drive the mobile veterinary vehicle to and from client homes.
Assist the veterinarian with patient handling, restraint, diagnostics, and treatment.
Communicate clearly with clients before, during, and after visits.
Perform technical duties: collect samples, administer medications, prepare and submit lab work, and maintain medical records.
