Job summary

Peoples Bank seeks a Floating Universal Banker I who travels to various Illinois locations (excluding Chicago) to assist customers, process teller transactions, and promote bank products and services. This role emphasizes friendly, sales‑oriented service, independence and teamwork, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with bank policies.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service/cash handling experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Must have smartphone (iOS or Android) that is able to support security features required by the Bank's IT security guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Processes teller line transactions at a proficient level, including deposits, payments, checks, endorsements.
• Counts and balances the cash drawer daily; resolves discrepancies.
• Follows BSA/AML/OFAC policies and reports suspicious activity.
• Maintains confidentiality of bank information at all times.
• Engages customers to understand needs and recommends appropriate products/services.
• Assists customers with routine questions and account maintenance requests.
• Supports vault, end-of-day processing, and security testing as needed.
• Gains knowledge to handle teller line operations and security systems.
