Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Union Mobile HVAC Engineer to support a retail portfolio across New Jersey. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair building systems, and travel from home to multiple sites in a CBRE van with tools, gas card, and uniforms provided.

Responsibilities include inspecting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general systems, using Corrigo for work orders, and ensuring safety and compliance. 3–5 years of building engineering experience and EPA certification are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in building engineering (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• EPA Universal Certification or obtained within 90 days and required local licenses.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders for building systems.
• Inspect, operate, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions impacting operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
• Follow all safety procedures, complete hazard assessments, and comply with OSHA and local regulations.
• Use CMMS (Corrigo) to update work orders and document activities in real time.
• Communicate effectively with clients and management; work independently in the field.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles; complete required inspections and documentation.
