Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking an experienced automotive technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to heavy-duty tractors and equipment. The role involves on-site inspections from a service truck, often in challenging weather, with responsibilities for diagnosing issues, replacing components, and test driving to verify repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• Experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Class B license.
• Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Capable of maintaining accurate inventory control and safety practices.
• Able to work alone with minimal direction

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on light to heavy-duty tractors and equipment.
• Operate a service truck for on-site inspections in various weather conditions.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle breakdowns, replacing worn components and test driving.
• Perform tire services, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain records.
• Contain costs by using warranties and evaluating service options.
