Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is looking for a skilled technician to perform comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on a range of trucks and equipment. You will operate a service truck, conduct on-site diagnostics, and address vehicle breakdowns under various weather conditions.

You will also handle tire services, maintain meticulous records, and manage costs by leveraging warranties and evaluating service options. A valid license and strong safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• Experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class B license.
• Fleet and mobile maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty tractors and equipment.
• Operate a service truck and perform on-site inspections, often in challenging weather.
• Diagnose and address vehicle breakdowns, replace/adjust worn components, and verify repairs with test drives.
• Handle tire services and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintain vehicle records and manage costs by using warranties and evaluating service options.
