Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking a skilled diesel and heavy-truck technician to perform preventive maintenance and on-site repairs on light to heavy trucks. You will operate a service truck, conduct inspections, diagnose issues, replace worn parts, and verify repairs with test drives.

Responsibilities include tire service, regulatory compliance, meticulous record-keeping, warranty-based cost control, and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary vocational training preferred.
• Experience with mechanical inspections and repairs.
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to obtain Class B license.
• Fleet/mobile maintenance experience a plus.
• Strong safety and documentation skills.
• Basic hand tools up to 1 1/2" and 1/2 drive pneumatics.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and inventory control.
• Adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors and equipment.
• Operate a service truck and perform on-site inspections.
• Diagnose breakdowns and replace worn components.
• Verify repairs with test drives and adjust systems.
• Perform tire services and ensure regulatory compliance.
