Job summary
Schneider National, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician to perform on-site maintenance on trucks, containers and trailers. The role is full-time, Wednesday through Friday and every other weekend, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., working outside of a shop with a service truck supplied.
A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits, travel to on-site customers, and opportunities for training and advancement.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in diesel technology or related field or 1 year trailer technician experience.
- Valid driver license and ability to meet DMV standards.
- DOT medical card or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- Welding skills preferred and basic diagnostic software experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site maintenance, including tire changes and electrical repairs.
- Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
- Communicate status updates to drivers and internal customers.
