Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in USA-Jessup, MD is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to perform on-site maintenance on trucks, containers and trailers. The role is full-time, 1st shift, Monday-Wednesday and every other weekend, 6:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., with a service truck provided. Responsibilities include tire changes, electrical and engine repairs, welding, inspections, and accurate work estimates. Travel to on-site customers is required; you will use diagnostic software and provide your own tools

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field, or relevant work experience.
• Travel to on-site customers.
• Valid driver's license and compliant DMV record.
• DOT medical card or ability to attain within 30 days.
• Welding skills preferred.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, including tire changes, electrical repairs, engine repairs and welding.
• Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
• Communicate status updates to Schneider drivers and internal customers.
