Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to perform on-site maintenance on trucks, containers and trailers in Pittston, PA. A service truck will be supplied with specialty tools and parts to complete jobs efficiently and correctly.

The role involves on-site work, travel to customer sites, and 1st shift hours (7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.), with work Mon-Wed and every other weekend. Comprehensive benefits are provided including health, life, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or 1 year diesel technician experience.
• Willing to travel to on-site customers.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Schneider DMV standards.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Experience with computer systems and diagnostic software.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance on trucks, containers, and trailers.
• Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
• Communicate status updates to Schneider drivers and internal customers.
