Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Baltimore is seeking a Senior Mobile Trailer Technician to perform on-site maintenance and major repairs on trucks, containers and trailers.

You will be supplied with a service truck and serve as the on-site maintenance representative. The role requires a technical degree or 2+ years trailer technician experience, travel to on-site customers, a valid driver's license, a DOT medical card or ability to obtain one, welding skills, independent work ability, and the means

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field, or a minimum of 2 years of trailer technician experience.
• Travel required to on-site customers.
• Valid driver's license and can meet Cowans DMV record standards.
• Valid DOT medical card or able to attain it within 30 days.
• Welding skills and experience.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, including tire changes, electrical repairs, and major accident repairs.
• Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
• Ensure equipment availability and make repair decisions.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.

260883 - Full-time Wednesday-Friday and every other weekend 6:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

$3,000 sign-on bonus

• Mainly work outside the shop as a Senior Mobile Trailer Technician in Baltimore, MD.
• Perform all minor and major repairs on trucks, containers and trailers.
• Be supplied with a service truck and serve as the on-site maintenance representative.

• Starting wages are $30.20 - $37.80 per hour based on experience.
  • Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive a $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday – 5am Monday).
