Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Mobile Tire Technician to install and inspect tires on company tractors and trailers at customer sites and rail yards.

Under general supervision, this role involves outdoor work, shift flexibility including nights/weekends, and potential overtime. A valid driver's license and basic tools are required; tools are typically supplied by the employee. The position may offer annual bonus opportunities based on profitability or volumes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass JB Hunt standards for operation of a company vehicle.
• Basic tools are required to perform this role; tools supplied by the employee in most locations.
• Preferred: 6–12 months tire-related experience or training; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and inspect tires on tractors and trailers using Company guidelines.
• Observe all Company safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Organize and maintain tire inventory for trucks.
• Ensure compliance of safety policies including OSHA requirements at customer facilities or rail yards.
