Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire service technician in Kentucky to respond to roadside and on-site calls with a fully equipped service truck. You will mount, balance, and repair all types of tires and diagnose tire-related issues while adhering to safety andDOT regulations.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 30–250 lbs, and strong customer service skills. CDL is preferred but not required, with paid on-the-job training and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license with safe record; CDL preferred but not required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred but not required.
• Able to lift and move tires 30-250 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires on passenger, light truck, commercial, and industrial tires.
• Diagnose and repair tire-related issues; perform light mechanical repairs as needed.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Perform fleet inspections and preventative maintenance checks as required.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in safe condition.
• Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service with clear communication of service details and timelines.
• Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.
