Job summary

Goodyear in California (Orange) is seeking automotive technicians to perform tire and service work, including fluid exchanges, maintenance, brake repairs, and other mobile services, all while delivering an excellent customer experience.

The role requires a valid driver's license, 18+ years old, six months of automotive experience, and the ability to travel for training. On-site work across Goodyear locations is possible; benefits include medical, 401(k), tuition assistance, and tire discounts.

Qualifications

• Six months automotive experience
• Three months of customer service experience is preferred
• You must be at least 18 years of age
• A valid driver's license
• No relocation is being offered for this position
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Perform tire and automotive services (including fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, brake repairs and other mobile services, while delivering an excellent customer experience).
• Maintain independence on assigned routes - Safely driving between appointments, while representing Goodyear.
• Conduct proper safety checks when preparing for and performing service.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by answering questions and explaining the service process, while always fully understanding the customer's needs.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of our products and services (including warranties, promotions and advertisements).
• Perform a variety of manual tasks (including pre-preparation of equipment, loading vehicles, cleaning-up the worksite and product reconciliation).
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting (consumer tires and wheels), standing, bending, and squatting.
• Opportunity to travel to other cities outside of your home market to train others or receive additional training on new technology and techniques.
