Job summary

Goodyear in Florida is seeking a technician to perform tire and automotive services, including fluid exchanges, maintenance, and brake work, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Starting pay is $20 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for training and advancement. Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• A valid driver's license.
• Six-month automotive experience.
• No relocation is being offered for this position.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Three months of customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire and automotive services (including fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, brake repairs and other mobile services, while delivering an excellent customer experience).
• Maintain independence on assigned routes - Safely driving between appointments, while representing Goodyear.
• Conduct proper safety checks when preparing for and performing service.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by answering questions and explaining the service process, while always fully understanding the customer's needs.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of our products and services (including warranties, promotions and advertisements).
• Perform a variety of manual tasks (including pre-preparation of equipment, loading vehicles, cleaning-up the worksite and product reconciliation).
• Performing a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting (consumer tires and wheels), standing, bending, and squatting
• Opportunity to travel to other cities outside of your home market to train others or receive additional training on new technology and techniques
