Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Mobile Therapist for our Children’s Behavioral Health program in North Philadelphia, PA. This fee-for-service role requires a minimum of 15 hours per week, daytime with some evenings, and offers pay of $36.00-$39.00 per hour based on education, experience, and licensure.

The therapist will join an interdisciplinary team, delivering intensive services to clients and families, often in the client’s home, with potential community or school settings as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Licensed in PA as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist or clinical social worker.
• Licensed in PA as a social worker or behavior specialist with a clinical practicum requirement.
• Minimum 1 year full-time experience providing mental health direct services to children (21 or younger) with applicable graduate degree.
• Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum with 9 credits in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive therapeutic services to clients and families, primarily in the client’s home.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver treatment.
• Deliver services in community or school settings as determined by treatment.
• Follow organizational policies and maintain client confidentiality.

Requirements

• Licensed in PA as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist or clinical social worker

OR

• Licensed in PA as a social worker or behavior specialist AND have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum from an accredited college or university

OR

• Minimum of 1 year full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children -- 21 years of age AND a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling from an accredited college or university

OR

• Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum AND have a graduate degree with at least 9 credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university.
