Job summary
J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. seeks a Mobile Technician II to perform intermediate service and repair on tractors, trailers, and related equipment at customer sites or rail yards using a mobile service truck.
The position requires 2 years of maintenance/repair experience, outdoors work, and the ability to work varied shifts including nights/weekends. A sign-on bonus is offered for a limited time, with competitive hourly pay and potential annual bonuses.
Qualifications
- Must have 2 years of experience in semi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent
- Experience with DOT inspections or FHWA inspections is preferred
- Welding and forklift certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors/trailers
- Troubleshoot ABS systems and electrical diagnostics
- Operate mobile service truck and manage truck inventory
- Assist with onboarding tractor technician trainees
- Complete work orders accurately and document damages
- Meet safety requirements at all sites and customer locations
