Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Mobile Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance on tractors, trailers, and related equipment at customer sites and rail yards. The role requires outdoor work and the use of a mobile service truck to complete repairs and write work orders.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of semi-tractor/trailer maintenance experience, the ability to work across shifts, and certifications in DOT/FHWA inspections and EPA 608. A sign-on bonus may apply for a limited time.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 18 years of age for smaller equipment or 21+ with 2 years' experience in semi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent education/experience.
• Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences.
• Ability to supply your own basic tools or purchase through toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate-level preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, or power equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair ABS systems and electrical diagnostics.
• Operate mobile service truck and document work orders and vehicle damage.
• Assist with onboarding and mentorship of trainees and maintain safety onsite.
