Job summary

Mesilla Valley Transportation in Wilmer, TX is seeking a Mobile Technician to perform on-site technical services across a designated territory using a company service vehicle. Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR required.

Join the MVT Team!!! Mesilla Valley Transportation is now hiring Mobile Technician in Wilmer, Texas!

The Mobile Technician is responsible for providing mobile technical services within an assigned territory using a Company service vehicle. This position builds and maintains customer relationships, manages tool repair and calibration needs, and provides technical support and solutions to address customer equipment and application needs.

Responsibilities
  • Travel throughout your territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit and perform, repair, and calibration needs and provide technical consultation.
  • Combine technical experience with company training, address customer needs and issues including troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and manual tools, pumps, and equipment.
  • Adhere to company processes, procedures, safety standards, and schedules with respect to daily activities including scheduled repairs and calibrations, and cold calling to prospective customers.
  • Provide required reporting to Branch Manager as to schedule updates, tasks completed, market information, and activity reports detailing weekly accomplishments.
  • Work with Branch Manager and service team members, and customers to meet the growing day-to-day repair requirements.
  • Strive to meet goals and Key Performance Indicators as outlined by the Branch Manager.
  • Initiate contact with prospective customers to grow new business.
  • Provide support as needed to territory managers for the growth of sales and service opportunities.
  • Check tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintains an accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
  • Demonstrate orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications, and interactions in a cooperative, positive, and professional manner.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for repairs and calibrations.
  • Responsible for checking-in inventory to ensure that parts and tools are available for customers. Maintain accurate inventory records, including detailed quarterly inventories of all parts and equipment.
  • Ensure the vehicle conforms to safety standards by following through with scheduled repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of hands-on mechanical/technical experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required. Must meet and maintain Company insurability requirements.
  • Ability to work Saturdays and maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.
  • Ability to work scheduled on-duty periods and remain available as required by operational needs, except during approved time off.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple service assignments.
  • Ability to professionally represent the Company when interacting with drivers, customers, vendors, and other business partners.

  • Indoor and Outdoor environment.
  • Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions including direct sunlight & heat.
  • Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold and extreme heat.
  • Employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
