Job summary

Fraley and Schilling GHENT, Kentucky seeks a Mobile Technician to perform routine maintenance on off-site equipment and ensure the mobile service truck has parts for minor repairs. The role involves traveling to sites and reporting unit status.

The position requires welding, hydraulics experience, and the ability to work outdoors with minimal supervision. Class-A CDL is optional, and candidates should reside within one hour of Ghent, KY.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of Diesel Technician experience.
• Hydraulics experience preferred.
• End dump trailers experience optional.
• Aluminum welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections at assigned terminal locations.
• Ensure safety and compliance by conducting DOT inspections on tractors and trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers and other equipment.
• Evaluate equipment and make recommendations for improvements and/or preventative maintenance actions.
• Ability to perform basic diagnostics and repairs.
• Complete written repair orders on every unit worked on.
• Keep mobile service trucks organized while maintaining and tracking inventory.
• Use jack stands and proper PPE to perform all work.
• Operate tow bar as needed.
• Test drive equipment as needed.

About this position

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus - Mobile Technician in Ghent, KY

Must meet performance goals and measurements. Pay-out over 6 month period.

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to perform routine maintenance on all off-site equipment. The primary goal is to ensure that the mobile service truck has all necessary parts to perform minor repairs and give attention to equipment deficiencies found on routine inspections / PM’s. Additional duties include traveling to the site to relay information of each unit started on and finished.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections at assigned terminal locations
• Ensure safety and compliance by conducting DOT inspections on tractors and trailers
• Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers and other equipment
• Evaluate equipment and make recommendations for improvements and/or take preventative maintenance action
• Ability to perform basic diagnostics and repairs

Skills & Qualifications
