Job summary

Epika Fleet Services in Columbus, Georgia, is seeking a Mobile Truck and Trailer Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing Class 6-8 trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in diesel and trailer repair, familiar with conducting inspections and repairs on various vehicle components.

This position offers shifts throughout the week, along with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $29 to $35, depending on experience, plus additional incentives.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.

Position Overview

Mobile Truck and Trailer Technician responsible for maintenance and repair of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle/trailer components.
• Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Self‑motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.
• Ability to utilize a computer or tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses.
• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Certifications are a plus.
• Welding experience.

Salary

$29 – $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Incentives

Performance‑based incentives: technicians are eligible for a productivity and efficiency incentive program. Incentives are paid weekly, allowing technicians to earn additional compensation throughout the month.
