Job summary

MedQuest Imaging seeks a Mobile MR Technologist to operate MRI on our mobile imaging unit and support patient care across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and acquiring diagnostic scans with strict safety protocols, while traveling as required. ARRT MR certification and MR program completion are required; 1 year of MR experience preferred. Weekend differential, mileage reimbursement, and travel flexibility offered.

This role will support mobile MRI operations in the Gastonia market, serving multiple healthcare facilities throughout the region as needed.

Responsibilities

The Mobile MR Technologist travels with the mobile MRI truck and assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • High School or GED required
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program required
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred

Experience

• Minimum of one year of experience in MR required

License/Certification

• Certified and registered by ARRT in MR – RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) required
• IV Credentialed required
• Applicable state license required

Additional Skills/Requirements

Well versed in MRI safety issues such as medical prosthetics and implants as well as general magnet care and safety. Ensure patient safety including pre- screening. Cultivate and maintain effective communication with customers and radiologist. Capable of troubleshooting the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment as to insure we provide only the highest quality of MRI studies. May be called on to train and mentor new technologist and Radiology Operations Assistants. Required flexibility with schedule changes. Travel is regularly required. Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
