Lab49 is seeking a Mobile Team Tech Lead to guide the design and delivery of cutting-edge mobile experiences for banking clients. This hands-on leadership role combines system design, coding when necessary, and architectural direction to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will work with stakeholders, designers, and Lab49 leadership to align solutions with business goals while growing the team's capabilities. This on-site role is based in New York City.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years designing and building complex software systems.
• 4+ years leading Agile teams.
• Proficiency in Swift and native iOS development tools.
• Experience in consumer banking onboarding and account management.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third‑party libraries.
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile apps.
• Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver iOS/Android apps with product context.
• Lead architecture, engineering best practices, and tech choices.
• Mentor engineers to improve autonomy and delivery quality.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and Lab49 leadership.
