Job summary

Lab49/ION is seeking a Mobile Team Tech Lead to guide technical direction and delivery on client engagements in the financial services space. This hands-on leadership role combines architecture, coding when needed, and mentorship to a team of engineers in NYC.

You will design and build iOS and Android applications, align technical decisions with business goals, and collaborate with designers, product partners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
• 4+ years leading Agile teams.
• Proficiency in Swift and iOS development tools (SwiftUI, UIKit, SwiftData, Swift Concurrency).
• Experience in consumer banking including account management and onboarding.
• Familiarity with integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
• Strong mobile UI/UX understanding and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver, and test iOS and Android applications while understanding products from a technical and product perspective.
• Lead architectural decisions and ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, designers, product partners, and leadership to align solutions with business objectives.
• Mentor engineers to increase autonomy and effectiveness and drive best practices.
