Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mobile Software Engineer II to design and deliver mobile solutions that align with our business goals.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create reliable apps, optimize performance, and contribute to architecture decisions across the mobile stack. The role requires a strong foundation in mobile architecture, hands-on experience with Expo and CI/CD pipelines, and the ability to work on complex features from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of professional software development experience.
Demonstrates expertise in mobile application architecture, including navigation, deep linking, state management, and offline storage strategies.
Leverages modern tooling such as Expo, EAS, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment.
Familiarity with mobile analytics, monitoring, and observability tools.
Experience with Expo ecosystem (EAS, Expo Router, OTA updates) preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and develop new mobile application functionality.
Build reusable application components and shared libraries.
Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, cloud services, and third-party SDKs.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement software enhancements.
Perform peer code reviews and recommend improvements.
Maintain technical documentation and development standards.
Evaluate new development tools and technologies.
