Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional mobile app development experience.
  • Experience building production apps for iOS and/or Android.
  • 3+ years interacting with IoT devices and embedded systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with BLE or similar device communication technologies.
  • Experience using React Native or another cross-platform framework.
  • Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting communication between mobile applications and connected devices.
  • Experience with security considerations for mobile apps and device communications.

Mobile Software Engineer (iOS, Android & IoT)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mobile Software Engineerto help build next-generation mobile applications that interact with connected devices and cloud-based services. This role is ideal for a mobile developer with experience creating robust Android and/or iOS applications that communicate with IoT hardware, enabling seamless experiences between mobile devices, cloud platforms, and connected products.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing native and/or cross-platform mobile applications, integrating device communication technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and building reliable mobile solutions that support real-world hardware interactions. Experience with NFC technologies is a plus, but the primary focus of this role is developing mobile applications that connect to and manage IoT-enabled devices.

This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative products that combine mobile software, cloud services, and connected hardware to deliver intuitive, secure, and highly reliable user experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience building and supporting production mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.
  • 3+ years of experience developing applications that interact with IoT devices, connected hardware, wearables, smart devices, or embedded systems.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or similar device communication technologies.
  • Experience using React Native or another cross-platform mobile development framework.
  • Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting communication between mobile applications and connected devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NFC technologies, including Android NFC APIs and/or Apple's Core NFC framework.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience building applications for connected-device ecosystems, smart products, or industrial IoT environments.
  • Knowledge of mobile security best practices and secure credential storage.
  • Experience publishing and maintaining applications in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Familiarity with mobile performance profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Experience working with MQTT, device provisioning, firmware update workflows, or other IoT communication protocols.
  • Understanding of offline-first application design and synchronization strategies.
