Job summary

Watco's Scott City, KS location seeks a Signal Maintainer to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install railroad signal and crossing systems as part of a mobile maintenance crew. You’ll work with electrical, mechanical, and electronic components, travel to multiple sites, and follow safety, FRA, and company standards while providing reliable operation and teamwork.

This role requires willingness to travel, nights/weekends, and a commitment to safety; HS diploma or GED and valid

Qualifications

• Experience in railroad signal maintenance or related technical field.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair railroad signal and crossing systems.
• Install signal equipment and related components.
• Test signal cables and verify installations per standards.
• Work with a mobile signal crew under a Signal Foreman.
• Follow FRA requirements and company standards.
• Travel extensively and work nights/weekends as required.
