Job summary

Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company is seeking a Route Sales Driver (Mobile Store Manager) in New Castle, DE. This full-time role combines customer service, sales, and independent work as you operate a mobile shoe store visiting customer locations to help workers find the right safety footwear.

You will build relationships, deliver exceptional service, manage inventory, and represent Saf-Gard in your territory. Travel is overnight 2–3 nights weekly with hotel and stipend provisions; CDL is not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, route sales, outside sales or related customer-facing roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; able to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for customers during scheduled shoe truck visits.
• Assist employees in selecting safety footwear meeting requirements and comfort needs.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience with personalized service.
• Build trust and strengthen long-term account relationships.
• Process transactions and signatures; handle exchanges and returns as needed.
• Operate the 26-foot mobile store and manage daily visits and scheduling.
• Coordinate with accounts and internal teams before, during, and after visits.
• Ensure driving records and logs comply with all DOT requirements.
• Safely operate company vehicles following all regulations.
