Job summary

VIP Automotive Group of Long Island, NY seeks a Mobile Service Technician to join our Service Department. This full-time role covers the Long Island territory with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive compensation based on experience.

The ideal candidate is a Level C Automotive Technician with strong diagnostics, communication skills, and a customer‑focused approach. You will perform light repairs, recall work, and programming in a mobile setting, backed by manufacturer training and career

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service or repair preferred.
• Level C Technician experience preferred.
• Clean, valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Mobile Service vehicle in a safe, road-ready condition.
• Stock and organize parts, tools, and supplies for scheduled repairs.
• Communicate with Mobile Service Manager throughout the day.
• Review and coordinate daily service schedule with Mobile Service Manager.
• Perform light factory recall repairs per manufacturer specifications.
• Perform factory software flash updates and related programming.
• Complete repairs accurately and professionally for customers.

VIP Automotive Group is seeking a Mobile Service Technician / Automotive Technician to join our growing Service Department and support customers throughout the Long Island territory.

The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, organized, and comfortable performing light automotive repairs, recall work, software updates, and programming procedures in a mobile service environment.

Compensation & Schedule

• $35,000–$75,000 per year

Mobile Service Technician Responsibilities

• Maintain the Mobile Service vehicle in a clean, safe, organized, and road-ready condition
• Properly stock and organize the Mobile Service vehicle with the parts, tools, equipment, and supplies needed for scheduled repairs
• Communicate consistently with the Mobile Service Manager throughout the workday
• Review and coordinate the daily service schedule with the Mobile Service Manager
• Perform light factory recall repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Perform factory software flash updates and related programming procedures
• Complete assigned repairs accurately, efficiently, and according to company and manufacturer standards
• Provide professional, courteous, and knowledgeable service during every customer interaction
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while representing VIP Automotive Group at customer locations
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and manufacturer repair guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed service work

Technician Training & Career Development

This position is designed for a Level C Automotive Technician with an opportunity to develop additional manufacturer-specific skills.

Training opportunities may include:

• Stellantis training
• Subaru training
• Volvo training
• Manufacturer service procedures and technical updates
• Software flashing and vehicle programming procedures
• Recall and light-repair training

Mobile Service Technician Requirements

• Automotive service or repair experience preferred
• Level C Technician experience preferred
• Basic understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
• Ability to perform light repairs and manufacturer recall work
• Comfortable using automotive diagnostic and programming equipment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment
• Must have a clean, valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Professional appearance and attitude
