Job summary

AgriVision Equipment Group – PrairieLand Partners is seeking a Service Technician – Mobile to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealer-owned equipment in the field. You will report to the Service Manager and travel to job sites as needed.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge, plus three+ years of experience and a high school diploma. You will stay current on John Deere products and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three or more years of mandatory service repairs experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance, typically away from the dealership, using proper tools, techniques, and equipment for the machines that the technician specializes in.
• Follows Technical Manual procedures when conducting maintenance and repairs on machines of the technician’s specialty.
• Seeks direction and guidance from the Service Manager or senior technicians, as necessary.
• Maintains contact with customers about work performed on equipment as necessary.
• Participates in mandatory training programs that are required for advancing work-related skills and knowledge.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains vehicles, inventory, AVE‑PLP tools, personal tools, and equipment in good working order.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follows all mandatory safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Completes all mandatory reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Performs other mandatory duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of AVE‑PLP.

General Purpose

The Service Technician – Mobile performs diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and dealer‑owned equipment. The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of AVE‑PLP's DNA.
• Must be proficient in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of customer and dealer‑owned equipment.
• Must be able to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Must communicate effectively with AVE‑PLP staff and customers, both verbally and in writing.
• Must work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Must use mandatory job‑related computer applications and basic computer functions.

Education

• Must hold a high school diploma or an equivalent general education diploma (GED).

Experience

• Must have three or more mandatory years of experience performing mandatory service repairs.
• Must have mandatory experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off‑road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
• An equivalent mandatory combination of mandatory education and mandatory experience may be substituted year for year.
