Job summary

Dobbs Truck Group is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Advisor to lead the mobile service operation, manage technicians, and ensure high quality repairs for customers. The role involves coordinating mobile assignments, documenting work, and maintaining service standards across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will have a CDL, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to manage schedules, oversee repair work, and improve customer satisfaction through proactive solutions.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B CDL.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• 6 years of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ascertain repair problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining mobile schedules.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
• Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approvals; entering ROs into the service database system.
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and the expected completion of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; arranging towing and transportation.
