Job summary

Smile Programs, in partnership with Indiana Dental Outreach, is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant for Indianapolis, IN and surrounding areas to serve underserved children at schools. The role features a school-day schedule with 6–7 hours, no evenings or weekends, and a competitive benefits package.

Ideal candidates have X-ray license, digital X-ray experience, CPR certification, and prior dental assisting work. Travel to multiple school sites is required within the local area.

Qualifications

• X-ray license required or in process.
• Digital X-ray imaging experience preferred.
• CPR certification required or current.
• Previous dental assistant experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; willingness to travel.
• Ability to work well with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental assisting services during mobile clinics.
• Perform Digital X-ray imaging.
• Chart patient records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with equipment setup, sterilization, and breakdown.
• Travel daily to and from school sites.
