Montgomery Public Schools is seeking a Custodian (Itinerant) to perform custodial duties across HCS schools, facilities, and grounds on a flexible basis, ensuring a clean, sanitary, and attractive educational environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, custodial experience, and a valid Alabama driver’s license. Itinerant duties involve travel within the district and varied hours, with responsibilities including safety checks and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; custodial experience preferred.
• Must have valid Alabama driver’s license.
• Experience in school facilities custodial work is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform a full range of custodial duties for multiple schools and facilities with flexible hours and travel within the district.
• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas daily or as assigned.
• Prepare buildings for daily operations, including opening/locking, cleaning, and safety checks.
• Identify and report hazards, coordinate with supervisors for repairs or maintenance.
• Operate basic custodial equipment and assist with minor repairs as needed.
• Replenish supplies and assist with special projects as directed by supervisor.
